Samlingen på Kunstmuseet Brundlund Slot er sammensat af dansk kunst. Hovedparten af værkerne er fra tiden efter 1920 med enkelte fra 1800-tallet. I samlingen findes både maleri, grafik og skulpturer. Det er kunstmuseets opgave at erhverve og formidle kunst, der knytter sig til museets samling. Derudover har museet en særlig forpligtigelse til at vise værker af de bedste sønderjyske kunstnere.

Legende børn – udateret
Die Sammlung des Kunstmuseums Schloss Brundlund ist aus dänischer Kunst zusammengesetzt. Der Hauptteil der Werke stammt aus der Zeit nach 1920 mit Einzelstücken aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. In der Sammlung sind sowohl Gemälde, Graphiken als auch Skulpturen vorhanden. Es ist Aufgabe des Museums, die Kunst zu erwerben und zu vermitteln, die mit der Museumssammlung verknüpft ist. Darüber hinaus hat das Museum eine Sonderverpflichtung, Werke der besten Künstler aus Nordschleswig zu zeigen.

The collection of the Museum of Art Brundlund Castle is a compound of Danish art. The major part of the works date from the time after 1920, with only a few pieces from the 19th century. The collection includes paintings, graphics as well as sculptural art. It is the main object of the museum to acquire and propagate art, which is in concordance with the art collection of the museum. Furthermore, the museum has a special obligation towards works of art by the best artists from Southern Jutland.
